Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency
Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency takes place in the historic downtown of Corsicana, Texas where two oil booms in the 1890s to 1920s produced an exuberant architectural setting. Anchored by 100 West, a former Odd Fellows Lodge, the residency becomes a cultural campus providing artists and writers meaningful interaction with the community and its history as a springboard for research and creative production.
In 2014 I created the logo for the residency’s first site, 100 West. Then in 2021, I worked with CAWR’s executive director to rebrand the evolving residency as it approached its ten year anniversary. I developed a new visual identity that pulled inspiration from the architectural environment of its campus—further extending the visual conversation between the residency its physical spaces.
